15th August 2010 - a historic day for Bana Ba Ditlou project.
Early afternoon we gathered for the official opening ceremony.

Children prepared some songs and prayers.
When the children pray - they pray indeed.
... and when they sing - they sing beautifully.
Children, our Bishop Frank of Francistown and our master builder Mr. Chiduku.
Mr. Chiduku hands over the keys of the new building.
The Bishop invited the oldest members of the community to join him
Mme Alidi cuts the ribbon together with the eldest.
The Bishop blesses the house, and the children are waiting for something...
Fr. Mareko takes the chance to have a photo with children.
... And that is what they have been waiting for - Dijo - Food! Since we prepared plenty of food for the occasion, the children could eat as much as they wanted.
Gobona, our coordinator, and the Bishop help to serve the children. who are very happy indeed.
Food was really good, so good...
Mpule was full as never before, and yet she was still holding - something to eat.

Everybody seams to be very happy today.
Especially Judy is very happy today. For years it was her dream to help needy children, it was her original idea that finally crystallized in the past months and now is becoming a wonderful reality.

She presented a history of the project and mentioned in a very special way our sponsors (Lars & Pius), without whom the project would be impossible.
Time for singing and dancing. Some children had very heavy stomachs.
The kitchen is functional although not yet fully equipped.
Drinking is also important. Judy prepares a juice.
Some more please!
